The PM-series is characterized by its mobility and robustness. The parallel kinematics enable a high degree of freedom of movement, similar to an industrial robot. However, the Pentapod offers a very high repeatability of 3 micrometers and is at least 10 times more accurate than a robot. This is due to the very robust icosahedron structure, which has a rigidity that is 100 times higher than that of standard industrial robots.
