Our sub-topic is: Machine development for the integration of five-axis high-pressure abrasive waterjet cutting
The aim of the JetEdge project is to produce cutting edges on gear skiving tools that are suitable for the load by means of high-pressure abrasive water jets. This enables an increase in tool life. The content is the construction of a complete system consisting of parallel kinematics with integrated high-pressure water jet technology and a system for optical detection of the tool cutting edge. The functional evaluation and the creation of a process model are carried out with the aid of experimental investigations.
